We're the year round hosts of our system! Together we can handle almost anything our life can throw at us... which is part of why we are also married. ((teasing tone) No, it's not a legal marriage, for reasons I hope will be obvious to you.)Pet is a femmeboy triple threat (caretaker/protector/charge) in touch with our emotions and needs, while Calvin (somno/rot/it/she) is a caretaker, occasional charge, and recovering internal abuser with a critical eye and a forgiving tongue.
Don't mistake Pet's young appearance and bubbly personality for genuine youth. He prefers having a smaller form for comfort, but that does not mean he lacks access to the choices, knowledge, and judgement that comes with being a physical adult, nor should he be forced to chose between a comfortable body and being respected as an adult.
It would be a poor idea to mistake his hard-won reclaimed innocence for weakness or lack of knowledge as well.
