About

About Us

We are an adult bodied system with mixed origins and functions.
Collectively, we are a man that presents as bisexual. We collectively use any pronouns except for they/them, including hey/hem, it/its, and other neopronouns. We prefer to be referred to as parts or members.

We ask that you don't use tone tags toward us that are meant to sooth or imply lack of aggression/ill intent. We also prefer that we are not shown media with eyestrain or bright flashing.

It is advised that you ask us before attempting to use alternate pronouns for a specific member, showing us NSFW content, or directing words, roleplay actions, or emotes meant to lessen distress at us.

Before interacting with us, note that we believe in the following.

+ If you have a problem with someone, talk to them about it before assuming.

+ Members do not cause harm without a reason, even if they aren't aware of it.

+ Systems do best when they are allowed to take care of their own members based on how their system (and that specific member) functions. Yes, this includes child/childlike members.

+ The harm caused by media depends less on the themes in that media and more on how the themes are handled. It also depends more on the (intended and actual) audience, as average age, size, and knowledge of real world equivlants to things within the media has a heavy impact on the impact of that media.

[TL;DR: shipcourse is overly reductive and focuses on the wrong thing while also centering on a term with multiple definitions.]

+ Sometimes people are included in a community without having to fit the dictionary definition or "easy"/"starter" definition of the label that community is based on. Sometimes people use modifers or microlabels to describe their identity, sometimes even to the point of not being understandable to those outside their community.

This is fine. In some cases people may feel a compulsion to label instead of understand, but this is not a problem with the microlabels or modifiers themselves, but rather a culture built around heavy external validation as a result of being under near constant attack.

[TL;DR Infighting in minority communities only helps those who want to destroy them, as well as making it harder for people to admit they were wrong or change labels without feeling like they're "betraying" their old communities.]

+ If all parties involved have the ability to give legal and informed consent and have done so, the kink is fine. It is unhelpful at best to use one's own disgust as a moral compass, or project one's own issues/trauma onto others.
